Under the name of Penny Lane Studios, Francis Fima started his recording activities in 1980. Local bands and own compositions were the most of his works. In 1983, commercials and airport music was a new field in Penny Lane works.

Then, computers came by storm in 1985. Francis switched to distribute the most innovative products for the musicians becoming computing musicians.
After the Yamaha MSX, Atari was the number one music computer in the world until its ineluctable death in 1992. F Fima continued to serve te Atari community, until 1995. He then teamed with some other sound engineer-long time friend to go back into the real world of music production.
